This is a side table (workstation) carefully remade using the iron legs of a rare pre-war type JANOME treadle sewing machine. The two vertical side panels are made of wood. They were crafted by a woodworking craftsman of the time using solid wood carving and joinery (without glue), and are still extremely sturdy and well-built even after more than 80 years. The tabletop is made of a substantial 40mm thick (finished at 39mm after planing) old pine wood, maximizing its antique charm. [Size] - Overall height: Approx. 76 cm - Tabletop width: Approx. 72 cm - Tabletop depth: Approx. 40 cm - Base depth (bottom): Approx. 45 cm *The base is designed to be slightly wider at the bottom, providing excellent stability. [Maintenance Details] - Tabletop (wood parts): After careful planing, coloring, and polishing, it has been finished with a matte urethane varnish. While preserving the texture of the old wood, it has a very durable coating. It is water-resistant to some extent, so you can rest assured if you spill coffee or place a potted plant on it, making it practical for everyday use. - Flywheel and pedal: Have been disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated (overhauled), and are in excellent working condition. - Iron leg parts: Cleaned, rust removed, and beautifully repainted in oil-based matte black. The central JANOME logo has also been repainted in gold. - Wooden parts: Cleaned, polished, and finished with coloring varnish. - Casters: Rotate smoothly and allow for easy movement. Caster stoppers are also included as accessories. [Product Condition] This item is based on very old antique and reclaimed wood from over 80 years ago. There are scratches and dents due to age, but these have been intentionally left as they are to preserve the unique texture and history of the antique, rather than filling them completely.
