Old Teak Solid Wood Natural Wood Bench Southeast Asia Purchased by my grandfather during a business trip to Southeast Asia. It has been in our home for about 25 years. This is a very heavy and substantial bench. It can be used not only as a bench but also as a flower stand or for shop displays, making it highly versatile. Features a round hole design on the side and a shelf at the bottom. [Dimensions] Top: 76 cm x 30 cm Height: 40.5 cm Top Thickness: 5 cm [What is Teak?] Teak is a deciduous tree native to Southeast Asia and is known as one of the world's three most precious woods. [Characteristics of Teak Products] A key characteristic of teak products is their extremely high water resistance. Teak wood contains oily components (oils) called wooden tar, which make it water-resistant, durable, and resistant to rot. It is resistant to seawater and insects, making its durability highly valued for ship decks and interiors. Teak wood was used in the interiors of the Queen Elizabeth 2, a famous luxury liner of the 20th century, and the Orient Express, a renowned luxury train. Currently, its rarity has increased, and high-quality teak wood is becoming difficult to obtain. ★Product Condition Description★ As this product is likely made from old teak, it has natural wood grain, color variations, warping, and scratch patterns. It will develop a beautiful sheen with use. It has been stored in a storage room for a while, so I have wiped off any rough dirt with a damp cloth. If you can pick it up directly, we will offer a discount of 2000 yen (equivalent to the shipping cost). Please let us know in the comments before purchasing. Location: Nerima Ward, Tokyo.
