This is an antique locket.

It originally came with a thin chain and was purchased for around 40,000 yen, but the chain broke and was lost.
Please use your own chain (inner diameter of the jump ring is approximately 5mm).

I am selling it because I have acquired similar lockets.

This piece is from the late Victorian era (around 1890).

It is gold-filled over silver.
Gold-filled means gold is pressure-bonded to the base metal, making it much higher quality and longer-lasting than gold plating.

The stone is not a diamond. It is paste.

The locket opens vertically.
It closes securely with a click.
It is thin and a bit difficult to open, so I will ship it in the open position.

Inside, there is a heart shape with the letters W&H and CO within it.
This is the maker's mark.

There are no other hallmarks.

There are minor scratches due to age, but they are not noticeable.
In fact, they add to the antique charm and make it lovely!
It has been polished to a mirror finish and is so shiny and beautiful that it reflects smartphones and indoor scenes.

Thin and simple, with a perfect size.
Elegant and easy to match with any outfit!
