??As a PVP registered variety, sale by propagation such as runners is prohibited.?? Centipedegrass Tifblair This is the product page for 180 plants. Grown from officially purchased seeds in 200 pots. (Each grid is 2.4 x 2.4 cm) We plant it on rice paddy levees at a width of 25-30 cm. Before planting, we thoroughly remove weeds with herbicide. After planting, we manually remove weeds for a while and water every 2-3 days. (If you find this troublesome, the Tifblair will gradually outcompete weeds even if you just mow them.) With occasional weeding, it will grow in beautifully within about 3 years. Our levee maintenance has been reduced to twice a year mowing! (Using a Spider Mower) The leaves turn reddish-brown in winter as they die back. New shoots emerge in spring and become lush green by summer. It doesn't grow at all in winter, so it's best to plant it by summer. The official planting season is late May to late August. In my experience, on slopes, the grass grows about 20% upwards and 80% downwards. So, on slopes, I plant it higher up. ~~~~~~ ● Height is 10-25 cm. It has fast-growing stolons and forms a dense turf with closely spaced nodes. ● It has strong cold tolerance, with documented cases of surviving temperatures as low as -23.5°C in the US (common varieties may not survive -10°C). ● Its thick and deep roots firmly hold the soil on levees and slopes. ● It sprouts earlier in spring than common varieties and its dense stolons maintain greenness until late autumn, effectively suppressing weed growth. ● It has excellent longevity; once established on levees, it requires almost no mowing for over 10 years. ● It is highly adaptable to soil conditions, growing in soil pH from 4.2 to 8.5. It shows very little growth impairment on reclaimed coastal land. From Takii Seed materials. ~~~~~~ Will be shipped via Yu-Pack, with the plants still in their pots. If you wish to provide your phone number or specify a delivery time, please let us know via message. (Shipping is possible even without this information.) ??Important Notes The photos are for reference only. We carefully inspect and select the best quality plants, but as they are living plants, there may be some insect damage, attached insects, scratches, etc. The soil may shift during delivery. Depending on the season, the seedlings may weaken due to high temperatures or freezing during transit. Please purchase only if you understand and accept these conditions.
