| Product details |
This is an early model Schick Krona (likely the D-80 series for Japan), believed to be from the mid-1960s. Made in the USA. Weight: Approximately 56g Comes with its original button-closure case. Also includes the original blade case and 2 new blades (STAINLESS KRONA EDGE, made in Sweden). This is a TTO (twist-to-open) butterfly-opening type. The head opens and closes by turning the knob at the bottom of the handle. This item appears to be an early type with a metal knob, not the later resin knob. Key features include: - A mild and easy-to-handle shave - Light and responsive operation - Practical design typical of Schick - A vintage metal finish It is a highly regarded model on international forums. Engravings: - Under the head: M-5 - On the opposite side: 1-2 Based on its appearance and specifications, it is estimated to be from around 1964-1965. (This is an estimation based on overseas resources and may contain errors.) Opening and closing mechanism confirmed to be working. It is in good condition for its age, but there are minor scratches and dullness due to it being an old item. Please check the images for its condition. As it is a vintage item, there may be deterioration in unseen areas. The case is also in good condition, but has some scuffs and a dent on the lid. Please assume the new blades may have some deterioration. We ask for your understanding regarding vintage items. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details.
