[Product Description] This is a high-quality, double-sided slide rule, model No.1051S, manufactured by RICOH during the Showa era. It is a 10-inch, double-sided slide rule produced by Ricoh (formerly San-Ai Keiki / Ricoh Keiki) during the Showa period. It is an all-purpose model primarily intended for learning and educational purposes for high school students, technical college students, and engineering students, as well as for general technical calculations in engineering and science. This would be a great item for collectors, those who love retro gadgets, or anyone looking for an authentic piece from that era. * Size: Catalog specifications state 10 inches (25.4 cm), but the actual measurement is approximately 31 cm. * Type: Double-sided * Material: Body/Bamboo + Celluloid, Cursor/Metal frame + Acrylic runner * Scales: Please refer to the photos for both sides. * Features: √10 (Root 10) cut * Note: Slide rules have different cutting methods (how the scale is divided and arranged at the point where it wraps around or completes a cycle). This model uses the √10 cut. This feature allows for efficient continuous multiplication and division by preventing calculations from exceeding the ends of the scale. * Comes with a dedicated case (with scratches and dirt). * Instruction manual is not included. [Product Condition] Although it is quite old, the cursor slides smoothly without any cracks in the glass. However, there is some dirt on the cursor runner surface and its frame. The surfaces of both sides of the slide rule have some minor scuffs, but no dirt or scratches are visible. Overall, I believe it is in good condition. * Please check the photos to assess the condition.
