Extend Goniometer / Protractor (New) A protractor is a tool for measuring angles, but this extend goniometer can measure length as a measuring tape at the same time as measuring angles. ① A normal protractor has an angle scale on a semicircle to measure angles. The semicircular part in this photo has that function. ② This protractor is integrated with a 20cm ruler (base arm), and the ruler can extend an additional 10cm. Therefore, the total length from the end of the protractor to the end of the ruler is 30cm. ③ A ruler-marked axis (moving arm) is semi-fixed at the center of this protractor and rotates on the angle scale to indicate the angle. Furthermore, this moving arm extends 10cm, similar to the base arm. ④ By adjusting the lengths of the base arm and moving arm mentioned above, it becomes easier to measure small joint angles to large joint angles. In the medical field, especially in rehabilitation and orthopedic departments, it is used as a tool (extend goniometer) to examine joint angles, bone deformities, etc. ⑤ When the base arm and moving arm are opened to 180° and both arms are fully extended, the maximum length from the end of the moving arm to the end of the base arm is 53cm, making it easy to measure the femur length. ⑥ The structure in which the base arm and moving arm extend has obtained Patent No. 5527666, and such a protractor (extend goniometer) cannot be found anywhere in the world, not just in Japan. ⑦ It is easy to measure deformities on X-ray and CT images. Below, the range of motion of the joints was measured in X-ray photographs. ⑧ The 3rd image measures the left knee joint. The 4th image measures the FTA angle of the left knee joint: 7°. The 1° angle scale makes it more accurate to measure bone deformities, etc. ⑨ The 5th image measures the range of motion of the right elbow joint. ⑩ Images 6, 7, and 8 measure the neck-body angle of the hip joint (artificial hip joint). ? Image 9 measures left ankle plantarflexion: 48°. ? Image 10 measures the deformed healing of a left tibial fracture: 13° forward flexion. ? Images 11 and 12 measure spinal scoliosis using the Ferguson method. The transparent color enables this measurement method. ? Image 13 measures spinal scoliosis using the Cobb method. The extendable arm makes this measurement method easier. ? The beautiful transparent color is also well-accepted by children. ?
