【High-Performance, Safe, and Secure Biological Filtration】 These are porous ball filter media, a staple in biological filtration. With a long-standing reputation, they have been incredibly popular for many years ? Approximately 10mm in diameter, they can be used in a wide variety of filters. The surface indentations and internal porous spaces allow a large number of nitrifying bacteria to colonize. Nitrifying bacteria effectively break down ammonia generated from fish waste and uneaten food, and also break down nitrite, which is produced during decomposition, into less toxic nitrate. This removes harmful substances, contributing to water quality stabilization through safe and secure biological filtration and creating a healthy environment for fish. Significantly reduces the effort required for maintenance such as water changes. 【Hollow Design】 The hollow space in the center of the ball creates a low-oxygen environment suitable for bacteria, greatly increasing bacterial colonization and enhancing filtration efficiency. 【Neutral Material That Does Not Affect Water Quality】 Made from a neutral material that does not affect water quality, suitable for both freshwater and saltwater. Can also be used in alkaline and weakly acidic environments. 【Size】: Approximately 10mm in diameter 【Quantity】: 1.9kg 【Material】: Ceramic 【Specifications】: Suitable for freshwater and saltwater 【Precautions】 * Please wash thoroughly before use. * Periodically clean the dirt accumulated in the filter media. Wash with aquarium water or tap water that has been dechlorinated and matched to the temperature of the aquarium water. * Due to friction during transport, there may be some powder from the filter media rubbing against each other, but this does not affect the filtration function. * Deterioration of the filter media itself is an indicator for replacement. To ensure stable water quality, we recommend gradually replacing about 1/3 to 1/2 of the media. * As we sell on multiple platforms, there is a possibility of stockouts.
