Ando-san's kataguchi (side-spouted pitcher) is glazed on the bottom as well, making it highly practical. This is one of several pieces I own, used a few times at events and then stored long-term. Ando-san's works are rarely available for purchase at solo exhibitions or online, making them difficult to come by. I would be happy to pass this on to someone who is looking for it. Please check the photos for dimensions. ◎I am also offering 2 rare early works by Ando-san. ?For tea quickly strained with a tea strainer ?Transferring tea brewed in a teapot to the kataguchi ?For milk in a cappuccino ?As a vessel for cold sake ?For dashi broth, etc. ?For syrup or milk These are handmade pieces, crafted one by one by the artist. As is characteristic of handmade pottery, there are inherent variations in texture, pinholes (photo 6), stone inclusions, glaze drips, uneven firing, color variations, and roughness. While I have inspected the item, I may not notice every minute detail. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor imperfections. This is a pre-owned item stored in a private home. Please examine the photos carefully and only proceed with the transaction if you understand and appreciate the artist's unique style. Returns and exchanges will not be accepted for any reason. ◎Please feel free to contact me if you wish to purchase multiple items. Click here for the manufacturer's site
