Hand-roasted coffee bean roaster made of stainless steel. Equipped with a thermometer, you can check the temperature inside the pot at a glance, and it is highly praised for its ease of roasting. Furthermore, since the lid is not mesh, chaff is less likely to spill, achieving a rich flavor similar to semi-hot air roasting. We have created this product to balance professional-grade taste with the ease of use for home brewing. [Included Items] - Sample green beans (20g) (We will send you the same beans we use for our products) - Mittens - Hand-roasting machine + thermometer [Reasons why hand-roasting is recommended over a pot] - Lightness → While pot roasting may seem less strenuous than continuous hand-roasting, pots are overwhelmingly heavier and require longer heating times. This product is designed to be light and easy for women and beginners to handle. - Flavor → Hand-roasting quickly roasts green beans over direct heat, bringing out their aroma and carefully extracting the bean's flavor. Roasting takes less time than with a pot, making it economical and flavorful. Many specialty coffee shops that roast their own beans use hand-roasting instead of pots. - Scalability → The knowledge gained from using a hand-roaster can be applied when you eventually introduce a larger roasting machine. Hand-roasting involves constantly monitoring the beans (sound, smell, temperature, feel, etc.) and using your senses as a guide, which builds experience that can be transferred to roasting with other equipment. [Commitment to Equipment Manufacturing] As a roasting plant owner, I roast all of our coffee beans using this equipment. We have created a tool that allows for nuance control, which is difficult with large roasters or pot roasting. Intuitively, roasting progresses through steps like water removal, first crack, and second crack. The extent to which you can impart your intentions to the beans at each step greatly influences the taste. Roasting is interesting and challenging because subtle differences in distance from the heat, or the speed and method of shaking, create variations in the final result. To enable such fine adjustments, it was essential to have easy-to-use equipment that could withstand tough use, so I made it myself. Green beans are included, so you can start roasting right away.
