【Melt-in-your-mouth Sweet Aged Honey Ume】 These honey-pickled plums are made from Nanko-ume (a variety of Japanese plum) that are thick-fleshed and fully ripened. They are pickled in natural coarse salt in a jar for 2 years to age, then coated in our homemade honey seasoning. The plum flesh becomes very soft, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth sweet texture. These are our popular honey-pickled plums. We pack only those with minor imperfections, such as slight peeling or bruising during production. The taste is exactly the same as the premium product! Perfect with rice, chazuke (rice with tea), and onigiri (rice balls). Each plum is large, 2L-3L size, offering a satisfying bite. Enjoy the rich flavor of fully ripened Nanko-ume, directly from the farm. Contents: Kishu Nanko-ume Honey Ume, 2L-3L size Condition: Some bruising or splits may be present. Packaging and Shipping: Sealed in a zip-lock bag, shipped in a compact box. As the plums are soft, some crumbling may occur due to shaking during transport. Please understand. Storage: Refrigerate [Best Before Date] Approximately 3 months from the shipping date. The aged flavor and mellow sweetness create an addictive taste. This product is popular among repeat customers for enjoying with rice, as a tea snack, or in bento boxes. Click here for the manufacturer's site
