L’Eggs Pantyhose Eggs Set of 5 (one cracked as shown) Plastic Vintage. Eggs are empty and contain no pantyhose. Red Silver with Clear Tops. One of the clear tops is cracked as shown. Great for crafts Purpose: The egg shape was designed to be eye-catching and convenient for shoppers, allowing them to easily see and select their desired shade of pantyhose. Material: The eggs were made of plastic, typically clear or a color matching the pantyhose inside. History: L'eggs pantyhose and the iconic egg packaging were introduced in 1971, revolutionizing the way pantyhose were sold by making them available in supermarkets and drugstores. Nostalgia: Many people remember the L'eggs eggs fondly, recalling how they were used for storage, crafts, or even as Easter decorations. End of an Era: The plastic eggs were eventually replaced by cardboard packaging for easier recycling, marking the end of the iconic egg's reign. Vintage Appeal: Today, empty L'eggs eggs are sought after by collectors and crafters, who repurpose them for various creative projects.
