A beautiful early to mid-20th century Holophane prismatic glass bell shade, model No. 4377, signed and numbered on the rim. Heavy pressed glass with deeply ribbed prismatic ribs covering the full dome — Holophane's signature optical design, engineered to refract and scatter light in every direction. Features a threaded top fitter, scalloped base flange, and a raised lens detail on the body. Interior shows the concentric ring pattern characteristic of genuine Holophane optical glass. Made in the USA. The Holophane name has been synonymous with precision optical glass lighting since the late 19th century — these shades are increasingly sought after by collectors and designers working in industrial, farmhouse, and mid-century interiors. Shade only — no hardware, no wiring. Fits standard threaded pendant fitters. No chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 tall x 8⅜ diameter across the base rim.
