Retail Price: ¥39,600 (Tax Included) + Shipping This is the Hiyoshiya ryoten (both-sky) umbrella, designed for both rain and shine, in the color Sorairo (sky blue). It comes with a dedicated tube, a dedicated bag, and an instruction manual. *While it can be used as a sunshade, it does not have UV protection. The umbrella fabric is a water-repellent polyester non-woven fabric that looks like Japanese paper. This is the fabric exclusive to the ryoten umbrella. The ribs and small ribs of the umbrella are made of natural bamboo. Size (from the official website): When the umbrella is open: Approximately φ860mm, Length 690mm When stored: Approximately φ45mm, Length 545mm *Photos comparing the size to a 1-liter plastic bottle are included. Regarding usage, I used it about 2-3 times after purchase, and then 3 times in October 2025 to check its condition. Regarding the condition, there are no problems with its use as an umbrella, but some people may be quite concerned about the fabric's fuzziness. Details are as follows: As shown in the photos, the fabric in contact with the umbrella ribs (such as the folded parts) is fuzzy. There was fuzziness already at the time of purchase, as it was stored in the dedicated tube and bag, but fuzziness also occurs when taking it in and out of the bag during use and storage. Also, the fuzzy parts may appear discolored due to the fabric rubbing. There were no inconveniences when using it as an umbrella, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. In addition, the instruction manual states that you can consult with Hiyoshiya if any defects occur, depending on the extent of the damage. The handle of the umbrella still has the original vinyl wrapping. Also, there is a string inside the umbrella that holds the frame together, which has been there since purchase. When shipping, the umbrella may be placed directly into the tube instead of the dedicated bag, with the bag enclosed separately. It will be protected with cushioning material for shipping. Please understand that it will not be covered with cardboard. Also, the four corners of the instruction manual may be reinforced with masking tape. Please check my profile before making a purchase.
