⚠️ This is a VHS tape! This is the 1980s romantic comedy film, Maxie. Starring Glenn Close, renowned for Fatal Attraction, this is a rare release, never having been theatrically released or released on disc in Japan. It also features the final work of Ruth Gordon, known for her role as Morty in the cult film Harold and Maude. Subtitled version 1985, USA, 97 minutes Director: Paul Aaron Music: Georges Delerue Original Story: Jack Finney Starring: Glenn Close Ruth Gordon Mandy Patinkin This is a former rental item. Playback has been confirmed on a VHS player. (Please be aware of potential noise and flickering inherent to video tapes.) This is a used item stored at home. There is fading on the front side of the cover jacket. The rental label is still attached. (Please refer to the photos for details.) There is no major damage such as tears. The original story is The Marionette by science fiction author Jack Finney. The theme song by Georges Delerue, a leading French composer who supported Truffaut's films, is particularly memorable. One day, the spirit of Maxie, a former film actress, possesses the protagonist's wife. The once demure wife transforms into a free-spirited woman. This is a slapstick comedy that unfolds as Maxie moves in and out of the wife's body. Enjoy Glenn Close's dual performance! Please understand that this is a used item before purchasing.
