Step into the opulence of turn-of-the-century Japanese artistry with this rare Satsuma Revival posy vase, exquisitely hand-painted and gilded in vibrant enamel and gold. Likely made in Japan for export between 1900 and 1920, this piece blends traditional Kutani-style decoration with the sculptural grace of Art Nouveau handles. Featuring three scenic panels—one with a Geisha, one with a pagoda landscape, and one with floral and scrollwork—this vase is bursting with detail, from raised gilt textures to blooming peonies and cherry blossoms. The openwork loop handles are elaborately painted in gold, and the scalloped rim is punctuated by three holes, believed to have been used with a flower frog or lattice for arranging blossoms. * Period: c.1900–1920 * Style: Satsuma Revival / Kutani / Art Nouveau * Function: Posy vase or floral arranger * Height: Approx. 8 Tall, 6 in diameter * Condition: Excellent antique condition with vibrant paint and minimal gilt loss. ➤ Please note: There is a visible hairline crack on the interior, as shown in the photos.
