This is a rental-up VHS of Director Kobayashi Asahi's work, Haru Kuru Oni. It has not been released on DVD. This was part of my personal collection. Please check the images for the condition. It is in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches or dirt. The tape itself is also clean with no mold. Playback is fine. Please understand that there may be some noise. We look forward to hearing from someone who will cherish it. 《Synopsis & Story》 Haru Kuru Oni / Original Story: Suchi Toppei. Screenplay: Kikushima Ryuzo. Art Director: Muraki Yoshishiro. Music: Sato Masaru. Director: Kobayashi Asahi. This is the directorial debut of Kobayashi Asahi, produced with the participation of Akira Kurosawa's crew, a legendary romance. Featuring guest appearances by Toshiro Mifune, Hajime Hana, Keiko Tsushima, and others. Set in a medieval fishing village in a region known as Oni no Misaki (Demon's Cape), it depicts the friction and trials between a runaway young couple and the indigenous people. They are subjected to three trials. The first is to jump into the sea from the tip of the cape and retrieve a stone from the seabed. The second is to spend time in a corpse storage area teeming with leeches until the next full moon. The third is to row out into a stormy sea and catch enough fish to fill a small boat. The man, Saburoshi, completes all the harsh trials. However, the village elder refuses to acknowledge him. A mysterious illness called Jabi begins to spread through the village. To break the cursed bloodline, they had to have a child with a woman from another land. Banba (Keiko Tsushima) was also a woman brought from the northern shore. The village elder (Sakae Takita) entrusts the future of the cape to Saburoshi, Yuno, and the old man Kukku-ne (Toshiro Mifune), ordering them to throw themselves into the sea. #NotOnDVD #Blu-ray #Video #Rare #Romance #Adventure #Kurosawa Click here for the manufacturer's site Easy to find furniture and interiors!
