Vintage antique postcard. Writing on front. Please view both sides for condition. Discover a charming piece of early 20th-century history with this delightful postcard, postmarked 1908. The front features a captivating scene of two children, a boy and a girl, peeking out from a rustic wooden hut, evoking a sense of innocence and pastoral life. Alpine flowers, including detailed Edelweiss blossoms and vibrant pink blooms, frame the foreground, set against a picturesque mountain landscape. A small bird perches atop the hut, adding to the idyllic charm. The card also features a traditional Bavarian dialect poem, suggesting a German or Austrian origin and a theme of affection. This beautiful printed postcard, likely a chromolithograph, showcases the artistic style popular during the Universal Postal Union era. The reverse side bears a clear 5 Heller stamp and a 1908 postmark, offering a tangible link to its journey through time. The Serie 7010 W. notation indicates its production series. This collectible postcard captures a romanticized view of Alpine culture and childhood, making it a unique addition for collectors of vintage ephemera, European postcards, or those with an appreciation for historical art and poetry.
