Item: Antique German Spun Cotton and Paper Scrap Christmas Tree Ornament Era : Circa 1910s to 1920sOrigin: Handcrafted in GermanyDescription: A highly collectible and beautifully detailed example of early pre-war German holiday art. Features a vibrant, lithograph paper scrap face of a young flapper-era woman framed by a soft, cream-colored spun cotton batting hood. The hood is accented with a delicate white paper lace ruffle border. The reverse side features its original bright red crepe paper backing, completing the textbook construction of early 20th-century German ornaments. Condition Details: Excellent antique condition considering its age and the fragility of the paper and cotton materials.The paper face scrap remains clear with gorgeous coloration, strong facial details, and no heavy scratching.The original bright red crepe paper backing is vibrant and fully intact with light, clean historical aging.The delicate paper lace border shows natural patina but is structurally sound.Stored carefully in a smoke-free home.
