CONN 48H Connstellation Tenor Trombone Non-Elkhart Era This is a C.G.CONN 48H Connstellation tenor trombone from the non-Elkhart era. It is one of Conn's representative models, a popular choice known for its distinctive design and bright, brilliant sound. This particular instrument is a 48H from the period before the Elkhart engraving (often referred to as the non-Elkhart era). It features the unique design of the Connstellation series and a powerful, open sound, making it a particularly popular model for jazz and big band music. The 8-inch nickel bell provides a rich, warm tone, while the small bore allows for a nimble response, achieving a balance of both. ■Specifications Manufacturer: C.G.CONN Model: 48H Connstellation Key: B♭ Bore: Small Bore (Thin Wall) 12.7mm Bell: Yellow Brass Manufactured: USA ■Condition The nickel plating has peeled off in areas, including the stocking on the inner slide (see photos). The slide shows no significant warping or dents and feels like a 7/10 after applying slide oil. There are age-related scratches, minor dents, and scuffs throughout the instrument. The tuning slides move smoothly. ■Accessories Genuine CONN hard case CONN 7C mouthpiece (not from the original period) The hard case will be shipped wrapped in bubble wrap.
