This is a true Type 1, 1st Pattern Woodland Camo BDU shirt from the very first year of issue (introduced September 1981). Because the contract tag is faded, the exact production window is verified by its highly sought-after, short-lived design details. Perfect for collectors, streetwear styling, or a rugged gorpcore look. Rare 1st Pattern Features: Square Pocket Flaps: Straight, square-cut pocket flaps that were only manufactured for a few months before being replaced by clipped/mitred corners in 1982. Smooth 50/50 NyCo Twill: Standard temperate-weight smooth weave fabric with NO ripstop grid lines. Early Dished Buttons: Features the early dark olive green sunken/dished buttons. Large Elvis Collar: The distinct, wide collar shape exclusive to the earliest 1980s BDU runs. Factory Transitional Variant: Features a rare layout without the side waist adjustment tabs on the twill fabric.
