This vintage cream and sugar set features authentic artwork by Robert Mayokok (1903–1983), a well-known Inuit artist from Alaska, whose drawings were reproduced on fine porcelain in Japan during the mid-20th century. Mayokok's art beautifully captures scenes from Inuit life through expressive black linework. The illustrations on this set depict a group of Inuit figures in traditional attire and a joyful figure raised above the crowd—evoking a sense of cultural pride and community spirit. Each piece is trimmed in gold and signed Robert Mayokok along the bottom. Produced in the 1950s–60s, these collectible pieces were part of a series that brought Indigenous Alaskan artistry to a wider international audience through functional, decorative homewares.
