Two vintage faux reptile purses in a gorgeous aged amber color that look so great displayed together, I decided to offer them that way. But bundle if interested in only one. Purse 1 is alligator embossed vinyl (?) from the 40s-50s and still very usable. Handmade, likely from a kit, and laced in a complex braid with just a tiny bit of wear. The outside is in great condition, with tarnished, slightly scratched brass-tone hardware. The inside lining looks like faux pigskin and has ink marks on the flap and several more inside, along with a very little bit of wear, but otherwise is clean. The bottom is rounded, so won't stand up without support. Purse 2 is now a clutch bag from the 1940s, maybe 50s. I think it's embossed crocodile leatherette but could be alligator. It's a little crushed at the lower corners, and the piping along the seams has wear, but otherwise it's in nicely broken-in, usable condition. Inside is clean and barely used. The interesting brass-tone hardware is tarnished, with a tiny spot of rust. Notice it used to have handles! Great addition to any vintage handbag or clothing collection. Also good for photo shoots, theater, and video costumes and wardrobe. Please ask if any questions about contition.
