Authentic U.S. Army Olive Drab wool field jacket manufactured by Security Sportswear Co. and dated June 27, 1946. This original Quartermaster-issued jacket features heavyweight wool serge construction, a four-button front, pleated flap chest pockets, shoulder epaulets, adjustable waist tabs, and a fully lined interior. The original Quartermaster contract label remains intact, showing a June 27, 1946 production date with a May 24, 1946 pattern date. Produced during the immediate post-World War II transition, this jacket bridges the WWII and early occupation era and remains highly collectible for military historians, collectors, reenactors, and vintage workwear enthusiasts. A classic example of American military craftsmanship with outstanding heritage appeal.
