This beautiful antique Jean Boyer (BOJ38) Limoges cup and saucer with bread and butter plate are made between 1920 and 1930 by Hudson's Bay Company in Limoges, France This masterpiece has a marking on the back stamp: Incorporated 2nd May 1670 as a historic founding of the Hudson's Bay Company. King Charles II of England officially granted a royal charter to The Governor and Company of Adventurers of England trading into Hudson's Bay. This gave the company an exclusive trade monopoly over the vast region containing all rivers flowing into Hudson Bay (known as the Rupert's Land). The date is included on the pottery stamp to celebrate the company's long heritage and prestige. The set features an intricate soft pink and green leaves embellished around the pieces with delicate cobalt blue scale that adds a geometric depth. The rims and borders are wrapped with gold that gives a phenomenal stunning look. Own this collection and sip your favorite tea, smile as you imagine the glorious past.
