This is a 1/2 size violin for children. I received it from someone else. I replaced the bow with a new one costing around 130,000 yen at a workshop. However, the tip broke and was repaired by reattaching it at the workshop. As you can see in the image, the tip seems to be slightly off to the right. It does not affect playing, and the child found it easy to play and liked it as a good bow, but please be aware of this point. The case is an old hard case, but the interior fabric is discolored, and the part where the bow is hooked is loose, so please consider it for shipping purposes only. It has been maintained, but about half a year has passed since then, so I believe restringing and maintenance will be necessary. I think there is a decent amount of hair on the bow. Below is a quote from the previous seller's description. ↓ We are offering a French modern violin, Paul Hilaire, made in 1965, No. 386 (1/2 size). The item includes the violin body, bow, and hard case as shown in the images. It features beautiful flame maple and high-quality materials, with the traditional French arch height. While subjective, this 1/2 size instrument truly resonates. It's hard to believe it's a 1/2 size. Having aged for nearly 60 years since its creation, the well-dried materials produce a powerful, dense tone with a solid low end, and a brilliant, resonant high end with a wide projection and sustain. Please experience its refreshing resonance for yourself. Furthermore, it responds quickly to bowing and produces sound well, making it a very easy instrument to play. We believe both children and parents will be satisfied with its performance, which is unmatched by new instruments in the same price range. For this listing, the instrument has undergone a full adjustment at a specialized string instrument workshop, so we believe it can be used with peace of mind for a long time to come. According to the label inside the body, it appears to be made by Paul Hilaire, but as there is no certificate of authenticity, we cannot confirm its genuineness. As this is a used item, please examine the photos carefully. Those who are overly concerned about the condition are kindly asked to refrain from bidding. Thank you very much.
