★Product Overview★ DODD GERMANY Circa 1970s-1980s Violin Bow Vintage Bow Made in Germany This is a German-made brand bow named after John Dodd, known as the English Tourte! A respected brand by Dodd, said to rival François Tourte, who was used with top-tier violins like Stradivarius. While I don't have expert knowledge, it was given to me by my grandmother and kept as an antique at my parents' home. I received it when I moved, and my daughter no longer plays the violin, so it's been stored away. The condition and whether the hair needs replacing are unknown, so it is sold as-is, as an extension of an antique or collectible. However, I believe it's a rare item, so please consider it! ★Condition Description★ ・Sold as-is. ・We do not guarantee the quality or condition as a bow, but there are no noticeable damages that I can see. ※It is difficult to perfectly reproduce colors and scratches in photos. We have taken photos to show prominent areas as much as possible, but minor discrepancies are not covered by warranty. ★AI Search Results★ (For reference only, content not guaranteed) • Vintage bow made in the 1950s: These bows feature an ebony frog with pearl inlay and a Pernambuco wood stick. They are flexible and easy to handle, weighing 62.5g. However, these bows are not made by John Dodd or his family, and are presumed to have been made in Germany. • DODD Model by Seifert workshop: Seifert, a German bow-making workshop founded by Oskar Seifert in 1932, produces a DODD Model that imitates John Dodd's style. This model uses good quality Pernambuco wood and features nickel silver winding. ※This is reference information. For age, accessories, and minor discrepancies in information, please refer to the photos and condition description. ★Other/Disclaimer★ ・Important information is summarized in the profile. We cannot handle disputes based on the content described, so please understand. ・Packaging: Recycled cardboard may be used to process it to the appropriate size.
