Thank you for viewing. This is a standard-sized cello made in China that has been modified to be an acoustic bass. The cello itself is a budget model, but there are no issues with playing, and there are no major scratches except on the back. The original wooden pegs were difficult to tune, so cello-specific machine pegs have been installed. These are rare and hard to find, but they allow for easy and stable tuning comparable to a regular bass guitar. Flatwound strings for electric bass are used, and the tuning is set to EADG for the four open strings with a low string height, making it easy to play. It is clearly different from guitar-type acoustic basses, and while not quite a double bass, it has a deep, dark sound that is closer to a string instrument. The overall length is similar to an electric bass, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of a double bass in your room. Wooden pegs and a dedicated soft case are included. *Bow is not included. So, if you are interested in an acoustic sound closer to a double bass and its uniqueness, please consider it. Please understand that due to its fragile structure, shipping may involve filling a cardboard box with bubble wrap and removing the bridge and tailpiece for packing. ☆Also, due to its size, packing can be time-consuming and shipping costs can be high, so we welcome in-person pickup by arrangement of location and time. In this case, we will refund the shipping cost equivalent (8,000 yen) in cash at the time of pickup. The preferred location is Chuo-Rinkan Station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line or Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line. Please feel free to ask if you have a desired price. If we can agree, we will set it up as a dedicated listing with immediate purchase in mind. However, as this is not an auction, please understand that there may be cases where someone else purchases the item before the timing of your offer and our price adjustment aligns.
