Thank you for viewing. This listing is for a domestically produced Greco bass guitar. It is a copy of the HOFNER violin-shaped bass. As there is no serial number from this era, it is believed to have been manufactured by FujiGen Gakki before 1972. My assessment of the condition is a 5-point scale: [Exterior 3-] [Sound 5]. Please note that this evaluation is purely subjective. Domestically produced vintage bass guitars are widely recognized for their value among bass guitar fans, and their market price is expected to remain high, with potential for asset value. We encourage you to consider bidding on this opportunity. Main specifications of the VB300: Body: Birch (Hollow body) Neck: Detachable neck, Rosewood fingerboard Pegs: Covered, Chrome PU: 2 switches for front/rear on/off, 1 tone selector switch, 2 volume controls (Same configuration as the original HOFNER) The condition of this instrument is described below. Sound output was confirmed from both pickups when connected to an amplifier. There is no unpleasant crackling noise or poor contact. There are some noticeable scratches and dings on the entire body, but no cracks in the wood. Some rust is visible on the metal parts. There are scuff marks on the back of the neck, and the headstock has missing wood that has been reshaped and repaired with epoxy putty. The original pegs show no rust on the plated surface and move smoothly. The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 3.0mm on the 4th string side and 2.5mm on the 1st string side, adjusted to be as low and playable as possible. The saddles showed indentations, so all four have been replaced and repaired, and there are currently no indentations. The nut width is approximately 40mm as measured with calipers. Fret remaining is over 80%. The neck has been adjusted to be nearly straight on the fingerboard side. The adjustable rod showed some room for adjustment. Despite some noticeable repair marks, it is in reasonably good condition.
