Iaido High-Grade Iaido Sword Dōtanuki, Honzukuri-style Mountings, Iron Tsuba, Daitō This is a robust sword with an original price of over ¥100,000. Additionally, the same skin on the handle has a oyadama (large pearl/jewel), making this a very rare sword. (Please refer to the 3rd photo) [Product Specifications] - Main body - Saya with sageo (and koshiri) *Sword stand and sword pillow are for display purposes only and are not included. This is an iaido sword, so it does not have a sharpened edge and cannot cut. It is a safe martial arts tool that does not require a registration certificate. This is a top-of-the-line iaido sword with mountings that closely resemble an authentic piece and a beautifully crafted iron tsuba. The blade is a Dōtanuki style with substantial width and thickness. This is a monstrous iaido sword boasting a draw weight of over 1,100g, allowing you to experience the same weight as a real sword. Judging from the texture of the blade and the craftsmanship of the mountings, it is presumed to be a top-tier iaido sword produced in the late Showa to early Heisei period. The hamon (temper line) has a very similar atmosphere to products from Biki Pack. Habaki, seppa, and blade are all firm with no play. The koiguchi (mouth of the saya) is not loose. Tsuba play has been completely repaired. The mekugi (peg) shows some wear but is not problematic for use. If the appearance is a concern, please replace it. Replacing the mekugi is simple. The blade has general scuff marks from use. This sword can be used without issue for iaido practice. It features a continuous groove (kakinagashi-do) which creates a crisp cutting sound through the air. As mentioned, due to its overwhelmingly robust design, it is not recommended for beginners in iaido practice. It is likely a sword that only advanced practitioners to master level can handle. Please be sure to check the photos for the condition of the blade, mountings, etc., and purchase only after you are satisfied. This is a very rare item. Please consider this opportunity. [Iaido Sword Specifications] Material: Hard alloy for iaido (with kakinagashi-do groove) Hamon: Straight hamon Tsuba: Kuyo-mon pattern iron tsuba Tsuka (Handle): Genuine same (rayskin) Tsuka-maki (Handle wrap): Pure cotton twisted wrap Saya: Black lacquer saya with koshiri Sageo: Black Overall length of mountings: Approx. 105.5cm Blade length: Approx. 72cm (2 shaku 4 sun 0 bu) Tsuka length: Approx. 25cm Draw weight: Approx. 1110g Motokasane (Base thickness): Approx. 0.8cm Motohaba (Base width): Approx. 3.2cm *Please be sure to carefully check the product images and make your judgment based on the photographic information.
