About the Brand: Walborg Corporation Founder & History: The company was founded by Hilde Weinberg in New York City during the late 1940s. Walborg quickly became a premier name in mid-century cocktail culture, celebrated for its high-quality, dazzling beadwork. Production and Dating: In the late 1940s and early 1950s, Walborg outsourced its meticulous hand-beading work to artisans in Belgium and France. By the late 1950s and 1960s, production shifted to Japan, Hong Kong, and West Germany to optimize manufacturing costs. The Style: This particular ivory seed-bead variant with a kiss-lock closure and swirling puddle pattern is an iconic 1950s/1960s signature look for the brand. These bags are highly collectible today among vintage enthusiasts. 9.5”W x 6”H CALLOUTS: Missing beads throughout. Staining on interior satin lining, which I did not attempt to clean. See photos. GUC, smoke free, cat friendly home.
