Five-Split Geta Sandals, with Inden-style Seigaiha Patterned Straps and a Karasu (Black Bamboo) Base - Kimono Ooka Original Geta, Bamboo Bark Weave, Local Industry Product from Tokushima Prefecture King Size: Length approx. 27.0 cm / Width 10.0 cm (Men's Size) Kimono Ooka Original Straps Karasu (Black Bamboo) Base The black bamboo base is commonly called Karasu. Be amazed. Be moved when you wear them. Experience the incredible fit. ● The sole is split into five parts, allowing it to conform better to the sole of your foot than regular geta, providing an outstanding fit (flexibility). ● The sole is covered with sponge, making it slip-resistant and quiet. ● The upper material of the geta is finished with woven bamboo bark, offering a very pleasant texture. Referred to as Yaore in the Kanto region, Mukade in Kyoto, and Goware by our company. This design existed since the Taisho era but was not produced. It has now been revived with modern, excellent rubber technology. *We have these straps in stock, so we can also create them in different sizes, M (24.5 cm) or L (25.5 cm). Please contact us by email if you wish to do so. Made in Tokushima Prefecture, a local industry product (Geta workshop continuing for 3 generations) As this is a handmade product using natural materials, the wood grain, weave pattern, and color may differ from the photos. Since the bamboo bark is woven by hand, there may be marks from the weaving process (which may appear as scratches). *If the item is not in stock, it will be made to order.
