Elevated on delicate ball feet with elegant pierced detailing, it is a piece that transitions effortlessly from the dining table to a curated cabinet display. Marked No. 1932-8 with patent dates of May 8, 1917 and May 27, 1919, this casserole represents H.C. Fry’s innovative heat-resistant Ovenglass line produced during the early twentieth century. Discovered in a historic home dating back to 1860, this complete serving piece carries the charm and character of generations past. While the original glass lid is no longer present, it remains a beautiful decorative and functional antique for collectors of H.C. Fry glass, early American tableware, or Art Deco-era serving pieces.
