Sakamoto Ryoma Full Body Portrait Framed Dimensions: Width 42cm x Height 58.5cm x Thickness 1.2cm, Total 101.7cm There are primarily two major historical dramas about Ryoma: Ryomaden (2010) and Ryoma ga Yuku (1968). Ryomaden stars Masaharu Fukuyama and is depicted from the perspective of Iwasaki Yataro, while Ryoma ga Yuku stars Kinya Kitaoji and is based on the original novel by Ryotaro Shiba. a. Ryomaden (2010) * Starring: Masaharu Fukuyama * Perspective: Depicted from the viewpoint of Iwasaki Yataro, a businessman of the late Edo period. * Screenplay: Yasushi Fukuda * Features: Ryoma's growth and great achievements such as the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance and the formation of the Kaientai are portrayed through Iwasaki Yataro's admiration and envy. * Main Cast: Masaharu Fukuyama (Sakamoto Ryoma), Teruyuki Kagawa (Iwasaki Yataro), Nao Omori (Takechi Hanpeita), Ryoko Hirosue (Kao), Yoko Maki (Oryo), etc. b. Ryoma ga Yuku (1968): All volumes sold yesterday (^^) * Starring: Kinya Kitaoji * Original Novel: Ryotaro Shiba * Screenplay: Yoko Mizuki * Features: Depicts Sakamoto Ryoma's exhilarating life. * Main Cast: Kinya Kitaoji (Sakamoto Ryoma), Ruriko Asaoka (Oryo), Hideki Takahashi (Takechi Hanpeita), etc. Personally, I have a strong image of Ryosuke Eguchi (husband of Chisato Moritaka). c. Shinsengumi Ryosuke Eguchi played Sakamoto Ryoma in the NHK historical drama Shinsengumi! broadcast in 2004. In this work, a unique setting by Koki Mitani, different from historical facts, was characteristic, where the protagonist Isami Kondo (Shingo Katori) meets Ryoma in his youth and they develop a friendship. Eguchi captivatingly portrayed a bold and unrestrained Ryoma, with his cheerful smile being particularly memorable. This was displayed in my living room. It's been about 30 years since I purchased it, but the color was originally like this, so the deterioration due to age is not a concern. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. It only appears once when searching on Mercari, so it might be a rare item? Please refrain from price negotiations. Thank you for viewing. Click here for the manufacturer's site
