Training Bar, Swinging Bar, Natural Wood for Suburi This is a natural crape myrtle wood. Purchased about 20 years ago and kept in home storage since. No pets, no smoking. It has been stored in a living space for a long time, so it is sufficiently dried. Although it is practically new and unused, it is listed as near unused due to long-term home storage. This is a training bar for martial arts such as Karate, Kenpo, Aikido, and Iaido. It is also a training bar that is heavy and has a thick grip, useful for grip strength training for those who are working on it. Please note that this is strictly for suburi (swinging practice), so do not hit tires or other objects. While barbells and dumbbells are easy to grip and suitable for training the core muscles, they are not ideal for training the muscles and joints from the elbow down, which are most essential for martial artists. With this thick-grip training bar, why not try various swinging techniques such as front cuts,袈裟斬り (kesagiri - diagonal downward cut), and horizontal swings? It will help develop your forearms and grip strength. It will be useful not only for those practicing martial arts but also for those aiming to increase their grip strength. Martial arts require the comprehensive development of all muscles, including the legs, hips, back, abs, shoulders, upper arms, forearms, and fingers, not just partial strength. For this purpose, continuous suburi with this training bar will be beneficial. Normally, you would grip with your right hand on top and your left hand at the bottom. However, be sure to also swing with the opposite grip, i.e., your left hand on top and your right hand at the bottom. This will allow you to train both sides equally. [Size and Weight] Length: 100cm, Diameter: Thickest part 7cm, Thinnest part 5.5cm, Weight: 2kg Please note that the product is only the training bar. Other items shown in the photos are not included. #TrainingBar #SwingingBar #WoodenSword #ForSuburi #NaturalWood #FullBodyTraining #GripStrength #EqualLeftRightTraining Click here for the manufacturer's site
