This Tsumugi silk fabric has a crisp texture that doesn't cling to the skin and features a wavy, altered-weave (ro) pattern. The pale yellow-brown base is adorned with a calm, oriental arabesque pattern in shades of blue and navy. This is a wonderful summer Tsumugi, featuring an exotic pattern reminiscent of Indian Sarasa, combined with the rustic texture of Tsumugi silk woven with slub yarns. (The obi in the image, #505mn81, and accessories are for reference only and are not included with this item). The width is 102cm, making it a slightly more generous size. With a rough texture reminiscent of natural fibers like hemp and Basho cloth, this garment can be comfortably worn even during Japan's humid summer. Includes a reinforcement panel (ishiki-ate).
