☆ IVANKO Premium Olympic Bar ☆ IVANKO OB-20 Premium Olympic Bar 2200mm ☆ Retail Price: ¥165,000 ☆ Due to its weight and size, major shipping carriers like Yamato Transport and Sagawa Express cannot deliver this item. Therefore, only those who can arrange for pickup are eligible. Thank you for your understanding. Purchased new at Gold's Gym. Used for over 10 years, but as it was used personally in a home gym, there are no visible damages such as warping or deep scratches. ■ Strength IVANKO Olympic bars have a tensile strength (PSI: Pounds/Square Inch) of over 200,000. A higher PSI value indicates harder steel. However, for Olympic bars, whip is also crucial and significantly affects the weight lifted. IVANKO has created the ideal bar by considering both hardness and whip. ■ Surface Treatment While various surface treatments exist, such as hard chrome plating, Lubrite, and ceramic coating, IVANKO Olympic bars utilize black oxide treatment (bluing). Although its rust resistance is inferior to the aforementioned treatments, the coating is extremely thin (1-2μm), providing a grip close to that of a naked bar. This choice also avoids the hydrogen embrittlement associated with plating and the negative impact of high-temperature heat treatment on material strength. ■ Sleeves As IVANKO Olympic bars are designed for powerlifting, they intentionally do not use needle bearings in the sleeves. Instead, brass bushings are used to create appropriate rotational resistance. Furthermore, they are machined with extremely high precision to minimize play between the shaft and sleeves. Micro-grooves are etched onto the sleeve surface to prevent plates from slipping. ■ Knurling The knurling process, which creates patterns on the surface, generates localized stress. IVANKO achieves the best grip and feel through this process. ■ Straightness The steel used for bars is not perfectly straight from the start; it has very slight bends and twists. IVANKO straightens these bends and corrects twists to produce a perfectly straight bar. Machining materials with a hardness of 200,000 PSI is an extremely difficult and expensive process. While bars are generally considered straight if their curvature is 2.26mm or less for a 2.2m bar, IVANKO achieves an exceptionally high degree of straightness at 0.25mm.
