The Muteplate allows you to adjust the volume, sound pressure, and overtones by focusing on the sound release in the center of the snare side. It creates a sound that cannot be achieved by simply sticking or pressing, moderately muting without crushing sustain, emphasizing the low frequencies for a fat and luxurious sound. The carefully researched hole size produces an exquisite tone! Essential for mini-live performances and small studios. Also great for practicing acoustic drums at home. 【When to use it】 ・When your snare drum sounds too loud ・When the sound lacks tightness ・When snare head muting alone isn't enough ・For quiet acoustic performances ・When the sound is crushed too much by excessive head muting for quiet playing ・Considering reducing the snares ・Considering using wooden hoops ・When you want to use your usual 14 or 13 snare with a small-diameter or shell-less drum set 【When you use it】 ・Most importantly, it prevents the snare from being too loud and ruining the song. ・Reduces metallic sounds and excess overtones for a tighter sound. ・Delivers punch even at low volumes, perfect for rock beats. ・Can produce various nuances, great for Jazz too. ・Moderates unruly snares. ・Produces a sound that's easy on the ears. ・Rolls sound clean even when muted. ・Doesn't tire your ears. ・Can be attached and detached in seconds during a performance. ・Increases playing range and stabilizes rhythm. ・Makes quiet playing easier. ・Good for practice as the feel doesn't change. 【How to use】 Fully open the 14 stand, then place it on a flat surface without tightening. Simply setting it in place provides a consistent, moderate effect. For soundproofing or other situations, you may need to cover most of the holes with something else... depending on your needs. 【Grooves】 One side features grooves for 14 outward-flanged pressed and die-cast hoops, and for 13 hoops. The other side has a groove for 14 inward-flanged hoops, making it compatible with most manufacturers. For 14 hoops, the groove width and position were determined after researching the rim sizes of 10 companies. The 13 groove is a bonus, confirmed with about 5 companies. 【Incompatibility/Precautions】 ・Usable with stands where the arm radius is 19.3 cm or more and the receiving rubber is L-shaped. ・In rare cases, if the hoop is excessively oval and doesn't fit the groove, please adjust the hoop. ・Not compatible if the bottom hoop has significant twisting or distortion. ・Not compatible with special shaped hoops such as those with snare guards, S-hoops, or hook-type hoops. Please check the drum shape carefully. ・In rare cases, the tuning bolt head may contact the plate, but this does not affect the muting effect. ・Please consider this a consumable item similar to drumheads and snares. ・Please understand that this is a handmade product. ・Returns due to the product not meeting your expectations are not accepted. ★Beware of scam sites selling this product for less than ¥5,490!
