Up for sale is a beautiful, highly detailed vintage mid-century Alaskan souvenir art brooch. This hand-finished piece features classic Arctic cultural themes that are perfect for historical jewelry collectors. Product Details: Art Form: Traditional scrimshaw style, featuring fine black ink line art etched into a smooth, naturally aged oval surface. Design: An elegant and serene depiction of an Indigenous hunter navigating rolling waters in a traditional skin-on-frame kayak while wielding a double-bladed paddle. Material: Genuine carved bone with a lovely warm, cream-toned natural patina. Dimensions: Generous statement size measuring exactly 2 inches long by 1.5 inches wide. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The etched black ink remains sharp and highly legible against the cream background. The bone material is completely stable with no chips, cracks, or deep structural scratches. The pin backing mechanism on the reverse operates smoothly and securely.
