【Features】 1. Original oil painting by Erik Hoglund This is a one-of-a-kind piece, even more valuable than limited edition lithographs. *While Erik Hoglund is primarily known as a glass artist in Japan, he debuted as a painter in 1951 (joining Boda in 1953). 2. Acquired at an auction held in Sweden. *The auction was handled by Stockholms Auktionsverk, the world's oldest existing auction house, so there are no concerns about its authenticity. 3. It appears to have been a favorite, as it was displayed in the owner's home for over 10 years. The simple framing, with the canvas attached to the frame with tacks, suggests it was a private piece for personal enjoyment rather than for commission or exhibition. *It is likely that Erik Hoglund himself framed it. This is a truly precious masterpiece that you will likely never have the chance to acquire again. If you are a fan of Erik Hoglund's work, please consider it. 【Product Description】 This is a painting depicting rural buildings and people working in the fields. The idyllic landscape brings a sense of peace and tranquility. Signed E.Hoglund in the lower right corner. Recommended for those who like designers such as Lisa Larson, Kaj Franck, and Oiva Toikka, and manufacturers such as Iittala, Gustavsberg, Rörstrand, and Boda. It would also pair well with items from mina perhonen and IDEE. 【Condition】 The oil painting shows some minor imperfections such as small dots, cracks, and fading. The frame has some wobbling, scratches, and dirt. *Please understand that this item has been cherished for over 70 years. The canvas is attached to the frame with tacks, making for a very simple construction. As it was likely framed by Hoglund himself, we are offering it as is. *The decision to reframe or not is left to the buyer. *Perceptions of condition can vary, and some aspects may not be fully conveyed through photos or text. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the inquiry section.
