Make a bold statement with this huge vintage 1970s style tricolor mixed metal lion brooch. This impressive dimensional lion features a sculptural silver tone face and mane accented with warm brass or gold tone edging and contrasting copper tone details including the eyes. The layered mixed metal construction and dramatic oversized design are reminiscent of Mexican Modernist jewelry of the era. Unmarked and exact metal composition and country of origin are unknown. Secure pin back allows this substantial piece to be worn as a dramatic brooch on a jacket coat scarf or bag. Preowned vintage condition with age appropriate surface wear patina and finish variation that add to its character. Please review all photos closely for condition and construction. Fantastic statement piece for collectors of lions mixed metal jewelry and bold 1970s accessories.
