Thank you for viewing. This is a one-mon Irotomesode featuring hand-painted Kyo-Yuzen motifs of mandarin ducks, ginkgo feathers, and plum blossoms on a deep brown base, with some gold leaf accents.
The deep brown dye blends beautifully with the Seika chirimen fabric, and the mandarin ducks and ginkgo feathers are depicted with lifelike detail, making this a truly exceptional piece. Although it is an Irotomesode, it has been tailored in a Houmongi style without an attached obi-age, allowing it to be worn as a Houmongi as well.
This item has been stored in a private home. While there are signs of wear, there are no visible stains or dirt. It has been kept in excellent condition.
Please wear this Irotomesode, adorned with auspicious ginkgo feathers, to formal and semi-formal events.
(Ginkgo feathers refer to the beautiful feathers of the male mandarin duck, resembling ginkgo leaves.)
