These striking vintage Upstage flats serve as a brilliant historical anchor to the late 80s / early 90s Mod Revival. While Yves Saint Laurent famously brought Piet Mondrian's grid paintings to the high-fashion runway in 1965, the turn of the 90s saw a massive mainstream explosion of De Stijl geometric colorblocking. This era took avant-garde canvas shapes and democratized them for bold, expressive everyday streetwear. Featuring clean, graphic black grid framing against an electric palette of hot pink, tangerine orange, lime green, and canary yellow, these shoes are the ultimate vintage statement piece. DETAILS * Brand: Upstage (Classic late 80s /early 90s mall-era label) * Era: Circa 1988–1992 * Silhouette: Sharp, angular pointed-toe ballet flats * Size: 10W * Materials: Durable canvas textile upper; injection-molded synthetic rubber outsoles with a classic geometric cross-hatch tread. MSRP: $40 (a value of $99 today) INTERIOR STAMP * Textile upper balance man made materials * Style Code 6102990 * Size 10 * Made in China CONDITION Very Good Vintage Condition - VGVC * The structured outsoles are remarkably intact with minimal tread wear and only light cosmetic scuffing. * The fabric upper shows some minor, faint staining that cannot be captured well on camera, entirely normal and expected for a true vintage fabric item of this age. * Ready to wear
