Up for sale is a gorgeous vintage Japanese porcelain vase manufactured by Yamaji (山二), dating from the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1970s-1980s). This elegant, statement-making piece features an eye-catching octagonal (8-panel) multi-faceted design that catches the light beautifully on display. The body is finished with a stunning, intentional ivory crackle glaze (crazing effect) that serves as the perfect backdrop for a vibrant, richly detailed scene of a regal peacock nestled among blooming chrysanthemums and peonies. The rim of the vase is delicately finished with a striking gold-gilded trim. The underside features the authentic red Yamaji studio seal mark written in stylized Japanese kanji alongside the block JAPAN stamp, confirming its origin as a mid-century export piece.Perfect for collectors of Asian art, Chinoiserie style, or anyone wanting to add a touch of Hollywood Regency flair.
