vintage, mid-century figural open salt cellar (salt dip) shaped like a stylized, wide-mouthed fish. The fish sits upright on an elegant, fluted pedestal base. This piece comes complete with its original clear glass liner. Many of these vintage sets lose their custom glass inserts over time, making this complete set highly collectible and fully usable! Type: Open Salt Cellar / Salt Dip / Table Novelty Theme: Nautical / Fish / Sea Dolphin / Whimsical Material: Silver-plated base metal with a clear glass insert Estimated Era: Mid-20th Century (circa 1940s–1960s) Marks: Unmarked / Unhallmarked Condition Report: Good vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic aged patina. The silver plating shows minor wear and surface tarnish consistent with age, giving it great character. The original glass liner is completely intact with no chips or cracks. The underside base features a multi-piece construction with a vintage steel nut that shows expected rusting/oxidation, which is completely hidden when the piece is sitting upright on display. Please review all photos closely to assess the cosmetic condition.
