This is a vintage cantilever chair. It features a chrome frame, with both the backrest and seat upholstered in rattan, and a black-painted seat frame. This piece evokes the rationalist design of the Bauhaus era, reminiscent of Mart Stam or Thonet, and is lightweight yet offers solid stability. The rattan has deepened in color over time, and the frame shows some spotting and signs of use, but we believe it presents a charming vintage character. There is a tear/chip in the rattan on the front left of the seat (please refer to the image). It is usable as is, but we recommend it for those who can enjoy it with reupholstery in mind, or those who appreciate the current condition as part of its charm. Recommended for those who like industrial design, modernist furniture, and overseas vintage/industrial styles. ⸻ Condition ・Rattan: Some damage ・Frame: Spotting, scuffs ・Wobble: None (as is) *Please examine the photos carefully. ⸻ Size (approximate) Please refer to the photos. (Please allow for slight variations.) ⸻ This chair is perfect for those who can appreciate the materials and structure with reupholstery in mind. It is for those seeking a chair that carries the patina of time, rather than one in perfect condition. ⸻ Shipping Local pickup is preferred, but shipping arrangements can be made if you are willing to cover the shipping costs.
