Bucherer Vintage Marcasite Flower Basket Peekaboo Brooch Watch — Swiss, c. 1920s-1930s A superb and rare example of Swiss mid-century jeweled watchmaking, this Bucherer brooch watch is a masterwork of the silversmith's and watchmaker's art combined. The piece is designed as a two-part pendant brooch: a marcasite-set ribbon bow pin on top, suspending a magnificent flower basket watch pendant below — a charming secret that rewards the curious. The Bow Pin The upper brooch bar is crafted as a graceful double-scroll ribbon bow, its entire surface paved with faceted marcasite stones in open silver work with fine milgrain detailing. A small navette-shaped marcasite drop link connects the bow to the pendant below. The reverse carries the brooch pin mechanism. The Flower Basket — and the Hidden Secret The pendant is modeled as a rounded flower basket vase with vertical carved ribs, each channel set with sparkling marcasite. Swiss Made in 0.800 Euro Silver with Marcasite Settings The Euro Silver Case is 7/8 inch with Gold hands & markers 15 jewels A Wearable Heirloom Whether pinned to a lapel, a coat, or an evening gown, this Bucherer flower basket brooch watch is a conversation piece unlike any other — a functioning Swiss timepiece dressed as a jewel, hiding its face behind a garden in full bloom. Pieces of this design quality and complexity are increasingly difficult to find, making this a standout acquisition for the collector of vintage Swiss jewelry watches.
