Wonderful early Walt Disney Productions children’s chalkboard featuring Mickey Mouse peeking over the top, with a colorful border of classic Disney characters including Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Huey/Dewey/Louie and others. The green writing surface has the alphabet and numbers 1–0 printed across the top. Marked © Walt Disney Productions and Diamond H Brand on the front. The shaped fiberboard construction and early character artwork give this one an incredible mid-century Disney nursery/classroom look. The large Mickey topper especially makes it a fantastic display piece even if it never sees another piece of chalk. Era: Circa 1940s–1950s Maker: Diamond H Brand Licensed by: Walt Disney Productions Material: Pressed/fiberboard Use: Children’s chalkboard / wall-hanging learning board Condition: Good vintage condition with substantial age-appropriate wear. The chalkboard surface shows rubbing, chalk residue/ghosting, scratches and marks from previous use. There is edge and corner wear, including wear/loss at the lower corners. Mickey’s upper section has noticeable surface wear/creasing near one ear, along with other scattered marks and finish wear. Back shows discoloration and staining consistent with age. Original hanging hole remains intact. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the condition description. Lovingly sourced and packed by Hazey Autumn — where every piece has a story worth keeping.
