This is a masterpiece rod from Nagao (Nagao Saku), a renowned craftsman of Edo Wagashi (traditional Japanese fishing rods). It was acquired from a trusted antique dealer as unused. Drawn to its dignified presence, I cherished it as a display piece for some time, keeping it in an environment protected from humidity and direct sunlight. Now, for the purpose of organizing my collection, I have decided to pass it on to someone who will treasure it. ■ The Appeal of Nagao Rods A creation by a master who inherits the tradition of Edo Wagashi. From the selection of bamboo to the lacquering and the placement of nodes, there is no compromise. It features the unique suppleness and beautiful bend characteristic of bamboo rods, which modern carbon rods lack. ■ Product Details Brand: Nagao (with brand mark) Total Length: Approximately 204cm (assembled) Number of Sections: 2 (jointed) Reel Seat: Fuji FS-6 (stainless steel, in excellent condition with no rust) Target Fish: For boat or pier fishing of species such as Kiss, Flounder, Goby, Filefish, etc. ■ Condition (Excellent Condition) Condition: Unused, a collectible item that has not been used for actual fishing. It is listed as Near Mint as it has been previously owned. Warp/Bend: Perfectly heat-treated (straightened) and maintains a very straight and beautiful condition, like a perfectly straight line. Appearance: The lacquer has a luster like new, with no cracks or noticeable scratches. ■ Shipping As this is a delicate traditional craft, it will be carefully reinforced with a sturdy cardboard tube (void tube) and packaged securely to ensure safe delivery. [Regarding Purchase] Please consider this item only if you understand that it is a traditional craft made from natural materials. Please welcome it into your collection or as a lifelong companion. #Wagashi #EdoWagashi #Nagao #BambooRod #FishingRod #Fishing #TraditionalCraft #ExcellentCondition #LifelongItem Click here for the manufacturer's site
