Fabric price - but it's the lowest price! ❗️ Yuki Chijimi (crepe) You don't see this very often, do you? This Yuki Chijimi is truly for connoisseurs, a kimono only for a select few weaving fans. Recommended for a single layer garment: Yuki Chijimi Repeat customers love the Kasuri (ikat) pattern. This is a relatively low price for a warp and weft Kasuri item. At exhibitions, it might be priced three times higher. That's the kind of item it is. Yuki Chijimi with a Kasuri pattern. The crisp texture of the fabric is unique to Yuki Chijimi, and the comfort is undeniable. It's slightly sheer. Yuki Tsumugi, a silk plain weave, is mainly produced in Yuki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture. Yuki Chijimi was a crepe silk fabric that once boasted a production volume exceeding that of Yuki Tsumugi. The cool, smooth feel created by the tightly twisted yarn is perfect for single-layer garments and was highly valued. In the 1950s, when Yuki Tsumugi was designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property, the production shifted to Yuki Tsumugi, and today it is considered a rare phantom silk fabric. We are offering this Yuki Chijimi because of the recent changes in the seasons and the comfortable feel it provides for both single-layer and lined garments. There are two types of Yuki Chijimi: Honba Yuki Chijimi and Ishige Yuki Chijimi. This item is Ishige Yuki Chijimi. *This item is recommended for single-layer tailoring.
